At the Goals For Bowls Foundation (“#GFB”), we believe that one person truly can make a difference in this world. Founded in October 2016 by a former Texas A&M soccer player and the world’s #1 soccer mom, our mission is to take soccer balls, food, and the hope of the Gospel to underprivileged children in need all over the world.
To date, we have donated 275 new #GFB soccer balls and over 100,000 meals to thousands of children and families on ten mission trips to nine countries (Ghana, Mexico, Peru, Philippines, Botswana, South Africa, Guatemala, Bolivia, and Uganda).
Where do you come in? As a 501c3 nonprofit charity, we were founded on the 1 -for-1 Model. For every #GFB soccer ball purchased, we donate a soccer ball and a meal to a child in need on one of our many international mission trips. However, with kind monetary donations, we are able to provide thousands of meals to children in orphanages, slums, townships, poor rural villages, churches, and community centers.
In addition to meals, #GFB has expanded to provide medicine, water systems, and Bibles to children in need. Led by their faith, Sarah & Susan (Mama Shaw aka the real “MVP”) use these vital resources as physical avenues to reach people who are also “hungry” and “thirsty” for the Gospel. In Luke 4:4 “Jesus answered, ‘Man shall not live on bread alone’.” Psalm 107:9 states that “He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry soul with goodness.” And that is what we at the Goals For Bowls Foundation try to do – provide meals, water, medicine, and soccer balls to children in need in order to satisfy their spiritual needs as well.
We live to make a difference – will you help us make a lasting impact on poor children all over the world?
